He studied music in Castellón with D. Ramia and J. A. Ros and in Madrid with R. Ramos. He obtained the Honorary Prize of the End of the Superior Grade in the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music of Madrid and the Superior Title of Chamber Music in the Superior Conservatory of Salamanca. Later on, he extended his training with M. Cervera at the International Centre for Musical Education in Barcelona and studied for a PhD at the Faculty of Pedagogy (Department of Educational Theory and Social Pedagogy) of the National University of Distance Education. He has been granted a scholarship by the Foundation of the Banco Exterior de España, the Department of Culture, Education and Science of the Generalitat Valenciana and the Erasmus Programme. In the field of chamber music and as a soloist he has performed concerts in Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Norway, Greece, Turkey, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, El Salvador, Japan, China and the USA.


He has made recordings of cello solo and chamber music for the labels Tecnosaga, Edelweis, S. G. A. E. , Saimel, R. T. V. E. and Warner Music. His latest recording for cello solo and cello and orchestra (Orquesta de Córdoba) directed and composed by P. Miyar, has been produced by Cooperativa de Cine..

 

He has been a member of the "Dubhe Quartet", "Arkhé Piano Trio", "Mediterranean String Trio" and the "Reina Sofía" Chamber Orchestra of Madrid and plays regularly with the pianists Juan Carlos Cornelles and Brenno Ambrosini. His interest in contemporary Spanish music has led him to premiere and disseminate works by outstanding contemporary composers (P. Artola, R. Beltrán Moner, F. Colás, J. Sánchez, E. Lorenzo, A. Gómez, R. Paús, Z. de la Cruz, F. Ferrer, C. Cruz de Castro, S. Brotons, M. A. Coria, A. González Acilu, R. Barce, T. Marco, C. Prieto, J. Villa-Rojo, G. Gombau, M. A. Roig-Francolí, P. Miyar, M. A. Berbis, etc. ).

He has taught at the professional conservatories of Zaragoza, Salamanca, Alcalá de Henares and "Adolfo Salazar" in Madrid and as an associate professor of cello at the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands. He has been director of the "Master's Degree in Music Performance and Research" and associate professor of string pedagogy at the Universidad Internacional Valenciana-VIU. He has given master classes in conservatories and universities in Spain, Italy, Holland, Greece, Romania, Turkey, Belgium and El Salvador.
