Emilio Yepes Martínez began to play the double bass at the age of eight. He initially studied with Ludwig Streicher, Rainer Zepperitz and Antonio García at the famous Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid. He continued his studies with Esko Laine at the Hanns Eisler Music School in Berlin and he has already worked with renowned masters and soloists as Solo bass in the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.

A member of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra since 2008, Emilio Yepes-Martínez works as a soloist with various orchestras throughout Europe and he is also an internationally sought-after professor.

In addition to giving several lectures, Emilio Yepes-Martínez is committed to the support of emerging artists as a speaker of the Central American Youth Orchestra. He has been a member of "Bassmonsters" since 2014.
